TBG at MODEX 2024

The Beacon Group attended the MODEX Trade Show and Conference the week of March 11-14.  MODEX is a top industry event in the supply chain, logistics, and material handling field.  A great week of learning, networking, and client meetings (and we even got a nice picture of the team!).

The Beacon Group acquires

March 17, 2022 - Haverhill, MA – The Beacon Group, a supply chain and logistics consultancy, announced today that it has purchased 4SYTE, a proprietary network optimization software. 

“The acquisition of the 4SYTE™ technology, will greatly expand our company’s service offerings to the marketplace.  The robust software will allow Beacon to provide a complete wrap around service to our clients,” stated George Yfantopulos, CEO of The Beacon Group.

The 4SYTE program addresses a wide breadth of supply chain challenges including site selection, transportation, network design and logistics.  Prior to the acquisition of 4SYTE by The Beacon Group, Symmedian, a supply chain solution provider, leveraged the software for clients in the high tech, consumer goods, apparel and food and beverage industries.

Symmedian CEO, Robert Hutson commented, “The partnership with The Beacon Group is an absolute win-win for all.  Their expansive national customer base, supply chain expertise coupled with the 4SYTE™ product should afford many opportunities to assist clients growing and expanding their businesses.”

The Beacon Group welcomes Matthew Stewart

Supply Chain Solutions Provider hires new Industrial Engineer

 

August 1, 2022 - Haverhill, MA – The Beacon Group, a supply chain consulting and engineering firm, has hired Matthew Stewart in the role.

 

Stewart will take on the role of Director, Engineering.

 

“Matt is a great addition to our engineering team” stated Kevin Ahern, President of Beacon. “His depth and background managing massive material handling systems is an ideal fit for the complex national projects we are undertaking,” Ahern continued.

 

The Beacon Group, co-founded in 2003 by Ahern and a small team of logistics experts, is now a multi-faceted supply chain consultancy and integrator.  Celebrating their 20th year in business, Beacon designs, engineers and implements major material handling systems across the United States.

 

Mr. Stewart, a Georgia Institute of Technology graduate, has more than 15 years of experience in new facility design, logistics operations analysis, and project management will take on a customer-facing role overseeing Beacon’s projects throughout the U.S..

 

“Our continued growth across a number of business sectors including e-Commerce, healthcare, biotech, retail and industrial distribution affords us the opportunity to bring on more talented professionals such as Matt.  We are very excited for him to hit the ground running with our current customer portfolio,” Ahern concluded.

 

Stewart, an active philanthropist, and proud Georgia Tech alum, resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife Jaclyn and their newborn son.
