CASE STUDY: INDUSTRIAL

BACKGROUND
A leading distributor of plumbing and heating supplies has experienced tremendous growth in recent years.  Due to this growth, they have needed to build new facilities as well as expand or redesign existing ones.

CHALLENGE
In the past year this customer has built seven (7) new branch locations throughout the Northeast.  The challenge was that each facility is dramatically different from one another.  Not only are each of the building layouts dramatically different than the next, but the products going out the door vary.  The Beacon Group needed to approach each project as if it were a unique business and not part of a national network of fifty-seven (57) distribution centers.

SOLUTION
While the customer knew what they needed for space requirements, they were in need of a business partner that could assist in getting these new facilities up and running.  The Beacon Group performed, and continues to perform, the following services;

• Engineering and design of material handling systems
• Procurement of all needed materials for storage & product movement
• Project Management

RESULTS
The customer now boasts brand new facilities at many of their branch locations, including first class office space, state of the art warehouse space and a “hands-on” customer showroom.  The Beacon Group has provided the client with a consistent approach to each of their facilities.  This consistency has permeated through the Northeast and Beacon will work with them to continue transforming facilities in the future.
